Shared Governance and Coordination
The Office of the Vice Provost for AI works through committees and councils to enable, connect, and accelerate AI innovation across Penn State. These groups represent faculty, students, academic and administrative leaders, and operational partners, which ensures that decisions are informed by diverse perspectives and grounded in the University's shared governance traditions.
The Executive Advisory Council brings senior leaders together to set strategic direction and create institutional alignment. The AI Coordinating Council facilitates institutional coordination by connecting expertise and resources across colleges, campuses, and units. Shared governance through the Faculty Senate Joint Standing Committee on AI ensures faculty voice in AI policy and integration. Stakeholder engagement committees and working groups, including the Student Advisory Committee on AI, represent students and other community members in shaping Penn State's AI future.
