2007 Seed Funding - Pilot Project Funding (PPF)
Designed to support research projects with specific research questions, a well-conceived theoretical basis, an identified team of Penn State faculty collaborators, and strong potential to obtain external funding. Our goal is to support interdisciplinary Penn State teams. For this reason, the PI must be a member of a Penn State college, institute, or other unit that provides funding for CSRAI. The team leaders should be Penn State tenure-track faculty or research faculty with a continuing appointment.
- Innovative interdisciplinary research projects that involve collaborations among Penn State faculty
- Travel and equipment, only if necessary for the conceptualization of the project and data collection
- Consultants, graduate student time, or hourly support of activities, instruments, software, data purchases, and equipment that is vital for the pilot project to produce initial results
