Please join us to discuss using technology and artificial intelligence to tackle challenges and questions in agricultural and ecological science. Participants are welcome to register to give a short (2-5 min) or longer (15 min) talk about their projects or ideas, or just come to listen, learn, meet new collaborators and eat great food.
Our keynote speaker for this symposium is Brian Spiesman, Assistant Professor, Department of Entomology, Kansas State University, whose talk is titled, “Advances in computer vision for pollinator ecology and conservation” If you are not familiar with Brian’s work, please check out his “beemachine” website:
Please note that this symposium is in lieu of the Entomology Department Seminar for Sept 15.
The symposium will be held at Room 22ABC at the Technology Support Building located at 300 Science Park Road. Buses will loop between campus and the conference location every 30 minutes.
Funding for this symposium is provided by our newly funded NSF NRT grant, Interdisciplinary Studies in Entomology, Computer Science and Technology NETwork (INSECT NET).
