A new Socratic Metacognitive Inquiry-based Learning Environment (SMILE) workshop will be taking place on May 12, 2026, at Penn State Berks. Registration is required.
“Designing Critical Thinking Assessments in the Age of AI: Prompt and Context Engineering Workshop” will support k-12 educators in the state who seek to learn more about designing critical-thinking assessments in the classroom. The workshop will focus on practical prompt strategies, responsible AI integration and the Presidential AI Challenge presentation, which seeks to help teachers guide students from answer-focused tasks to reasoning-focused learning.
Breakfast and lunch are provided.
Registration required by April 15.
